Rhinestones are beautiful and shiny, but they are also made of glass, and usually incredibly flawed, not to mention breakable. They are the perfect metaphor for “perfection,” which is highly overrated. If divine and humble wisdom is a priceless jewel, then perfectionism is a cheap glass rhinestone.
