Lay Led Service with Lisa Nosal, Worship Associate
In June of 2020, a UUP member said, “I am interested in forming a reading group to discuss books related to anti-racism.” From there, five of us started meeting twice a month not only to discuss anti-racism books but also to begin trying to examine “the water we swim in” — how our culture has shaped who we are as White people and whether those shapes actually fit with our inner values. Join several of the book club members as we explore the anti-racism work we are doing, how Unitarian Universalist principles guide our work and our goals, and how we are working toward “Beloved Community,” with all of its vulnerability, compassion, and joy.
