The 10 days that span from Rosh Hashanah (Sept. 29th) to Yom Kippur (Oct. 9) are collectively known as the Jewish High Holidays or the Days of Awe. This is a time of introspection, spiritual practice and community. This season welcomes reflection on relationships to self, others, and what is most sacred. It is a time of “returning to the land of one’s soul”. This morning we’ll honor and explore some of the spiritual teachings of the Days of Awe. Join us for this service of inquiry and celebration!
Enjoy apples and honey with us after the service! Apples dipped in honey is a delicious way of lifting up hopes for a “sweet New Year”. Rosh Hashanah is considered the “head of the year”, the Jewish New Year.
