Choosing Joy

Join us to experience the healing benefits of extended laughter!  No jokes necessary. Laughter (Hasya) Yoga is an ancient practice that was re-created for a contemporary international audience in 1995 by Dr. Madan Kataria, M.D., a Western-trained Indian medical doctor from Mumbai. Dr. Kataria read the research about the healing power of laughter yoga that came out of the USA, starting back in the 1970’s with Norman Cousins, and after that at Stanford and UCLA, and decided to create a Laughter Yoga Club in the park near his medical office. Twenty years later, Laughter Yoga has been featured in the international news, in films, books, television and in medical journals with over 15,000 Laughter Yoga Clubs world-wide. Now, neuroscience and medical research confirms the powerful healing benefits of extended laughter!   www.laughteryoga.org
